Carto's workshop is open

Your place already has a story. Give it a map.

Turn roads, fields, booths, paths, and landmarks into an illustrated map anyone can follow. Start with the real world, then make every detail unmistakably yours.

Start free in Playground, with Workshop and Atlas available when your maps need more.

No GIS degree. No blank canvas.

You bring the local knowledge. Cartowright starts from real geography, identifies the pieces of your place, and gives you clear controls for editing what visitors need to see.

From first survey to a map ready to share.

Carto guides the sequence without hiding the controls. You stay in charge of what belongs on the map.

  1. 1

    Find your place

Search for the farm, fairground, venue, neighborhood, or route you already know by heart.

  2. 2

    Shape the story

Cartowright finds roads, water, fields, and landmarks. You choose what matters and make it yours.

  3. 3

    Share the map

Download your finished artwork—or publish a hosted map visitors can explore on any device.

A real workbench, built around the map.

Identify useful map pieces, ask Carto for guidance, edit generated artwork, and keep the place itself visible through every decision.

For the people arriving next

Publish a map visitors can actually use.

Hosted maps can include locations, public descriptions, and a find-me control—so a beautiful map remains practical on the day of the event.

Playground includes one successful initial map-generation workflow per account. Failed or canceled attempts do not use it.

Workshop and Atlas include hosted AI with account-level safeguards: one top-level workflow at a time and at least 60 seconds between accepted starts. Retries and timeouts are bounded; temporary abuse protections may pause starts. There is no monthly credit quota.

A billable view is one completed public interactive-map load, counted after its manifest and required map imagery finish loading successfully. Retries, extra asset requests, owner previews, and known bots do not add views. Privacy opt-outs still count, and billing does not use a persistent visitor identity.

Atlas includes 25,000 completed views in each subscription billing month. Each additional view is billed automatically at $0.002; amounts round only at invoice currency precision, and hosting continues above the allowance.
